I love, love, love this recipe. I don’t like the traditional “jellied cranberry sauce” and I just thought that I didn’t like cranberries. That was until I found this recipe.
This recipe was adapted from a Trisha Yearwood recipe.
- 1 (0ne) 12 ounce bag of fresh cranberries
- 2 large oranges, peeled
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
Place the cranberries and the peeled oranges into the bowl of a food processor and pulse. You can make the chunks as big or as small as you like for your relish. Transfer the chopped fruit to a bowl and add the 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir well to mix. Taste. If it’s not sweet enough for your taste, add more sugar. I don’t like mine really super sweet, but sweeten to your taste. Add the chopped walnuts and serve.
This will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
